Lady Lions suffer loss, Raise funds for Susan G. Komen

New Kensington- The Lady Lions of PSU New Kensington welcomed PSU Fayette Wednesday night, in their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game at the wellness center.

New Kensington fell behind, 2 sets to none (25-15, 25-15), but fought hard to take the third set, 25-23. The Lady Lions failed to keep the momentum going in the 4th and ended up dropping the match, 3-1.

Sophomore Hannah Pastor led the team with 4 kills on the night, while sophomore Elliot Ferrent and sophomore Gabby Wolfkill served up two aces a piece. Sophomore Kayla Unger was all over the court, as she tallied 19 total digs for the match.

Not all was loss, as pink could be seen all throughout the wellness center in support of breast cancer awareness. The funds that were raised from the 50/50 raffle will be donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation.

New Kensington will look to get back on track this Saturday, October 15th, as they travel to PSU Beaver for a conference showdown.
