MONT ALTO, Pa. – On Thursday, September 30^th, the Penn State New Kensington volleyball team was defeated by the score of 3-0. Mont Alto won the match with the scores of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-12. The New Kensington Lions fall to (1-7) on the season and (0-5) in conference play following this loss.

The Lions were led by Elliot Ferrent (Punxsutawney, Pa. / Punxsutawney) with nine kill followed by fellow freshman Kylie DiLeo (Sprindale, Pa./ Springdale) with 7 kills. DiLeo also picked up ten digs. Junior Bethany Baney (Apollo / Kiski Area) added eight digs. Kayla Unger (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle) ran the offense and finished the night with 17 assists.

The Lions will be back on the road when they face Penn State DuBois on Saturday, Sept. 2^nd. The first serve is scheduled for 1:00p.m.
