Volleyball Falls to Kent St. – Tuscarawas on the Road

On Friday, the Penn State New Kensington volleyball team went up against a tough opponent in Kent St. – Tuscarawas. New Kensington (1-1) lost in four sets with the scores of 18-25, 25-22, 20-25, and 18-25. As a team, the Lions tallied up 45 digs, 27 kills, and eight aces.

Freshman Gabby Wolfkill (Mifflin, Pa./Mifflin) led the team with 14 digs to go with six kills. Fellow freshman Kylie DiLeo (Sprindale, Pa./ Springdale) added a team-high ten kills, six digs, and two aces. Freshman Kayla Unger (Carlisle, Pa./ Carlisle) added a match-high 22 assists with four digs.

The Lions will look to bounce back when they match up against Butler County Community College at home on Monday, Sept. 13. The first serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
