New Kensington Comes Up Short Against 2nd Place Schuylkill

New Kensington, PA- The Lady Lions welcomed second place Penn State Schuylkill to the athletic center Saturday afternoon for a conference showdown.

Schuylkill started the game on a 17-0 run, as the Lady Lions fell behind 35-8 at the half. New Kensington played much better after the break but could not cut into the lead on their way to a 60-26 defeat. The Lady Lions were stifled defensively, as they turned the ball over 31 times, resulting in 35 points for Schuylkill.

 Senior forward Shaylynne Boitnott (Meadville, PA) led New Kensington with 10 points and 8 rebounds, while  freshmen guard Najah Perryman (Woodbridge, VA) added 9 points and 8 boards of her own.

 The Lady Lions will look to right the ship as they travel to Scranton, PA this Friday, December 9th to battle Penn State Scranton in another PSUAC crossover contest.
