Women’s Basketball Falls to Central Penn College

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State New Kensington Women's basketball team fell to Central Penn 84-30. With the loss, New Kensington falls to 0-2 on the season, while Central Penn moves to 2-2.

Central Penn held the momentum from the start of the game as they outscored the Lions 25-8 in the first quarter. In the first quarter, only and scored for the Lions.

Shaylynne Boitnott (Meadville, Pa. / Meadville) led the Lions in scoring with ten points, followed by Ryliegh Beck (Saegertown, Pa. / Maplewood) with seven and Deshaya Chavis (Penn Hills, Pa. / Penn Hills) with six. Off the bench, Izzabelle Estrabela (Natrona Heights, Pa./Highlands) scored five points and tallied five rebounds. Chavis, Beck, and Boitnott led the Lions with six rebounds each.

The Lions will look to bounce back when they face Bethany College on Tuesday, Nov. 16. Tip-off is at 6:00p.m.
