New Kensington Falls to Mont Alto

Mont Alto, PA - New Kensington struggled to get their offense going on Saturday, getting easily dispatched by Mont Alto, 9-3.

New Ken got things started in the second inning. Addyson Gregg hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.

Mont Alto pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Mont Alto, Kirsten Dell singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, and McKenna Sas doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Delaney Glazer led things off in the circle for Mont Alto. The hurler lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out ten.

Gregg was in the circle for New Ken. Gregg surrendered six runs on five hits over three and a third innings, striking out three. Olivia Waldrop threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.

New Ken had seven hits in the game. Waldrop and Kiera Mack each collected multiple hits for New Ken. Waldrop went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead New Kensington in hits.

Mont Alto tallied ten hits on the day. Sas, Destiny Hall, and Dell each had multiple hits for  Mont Alto. Sas led Mont Alto with three hits in four at bats.
