Brandywine Rallied Back To Take The Win

A walk-off left New Kensington on the wrong end of a 5-4 defeat to Brandywine on Saturday. Brandywine was down 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Farrell Everett doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.

New Kensington lost despite out-hitting Brandywine 11 to eight.

Crystal Cassario was on the rubber for Brandywine. The pitcher went six innings, allowing four runs on 11 hits and striking out three.

Addyson Gregg led things off on the rubber for New Ken. The hurler lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out four.

New Ken totaled 11 hits in the game. Molly Collins, Antonia Velasquez, Olivia Waldrop, and Kali Barnett all managed multiple hits for New Ken. Collins led New Ken with three hits in four at bats.

Brandywine totaled eight hits. Emily Reagan and Payton Landis all had multiple hits for Brandywine.
