New Kensington Walks Away Victorious Over Triton, 10-5

Clermont, FL – Penn State New Kensington defeated Triton 10-5 on Thursday.

Triton took an early lead in the second inning. An error scored one run for Triton.

The Lions took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Kali Barnett (Ellwood City, Pa.) singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Olivia Waldrop  singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs for New Kensington.

Addyson Gregg got the start for the Lions. She allowed seven hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out five.

The Lions scattered eight hits in the game. Madison Hoyt , Waldrop, and Barnett all had multiple hits for Penn State New Kensington. Barnett, Waldrop, and Hoyt all had two hits to in the game.
