Lady Lions Slides Into A Blow-Out Win Over Ancilla

Clermont, Fla. – The Lions easily did away with Marian University's Ancilla College, racking the score up to 13-4 on Monday.

Penn State New Kensington opened up the scoring in the first inning when freshman catcher, Antonia Velasquez (Aliso Viejo, Ca.) singled, scoring a run. New Kensington put up six runs in the seventh inning contributed by freshman infielder Olivia Waldrop (Valencia, Pa.), sophomore infielder Ashley Encarnacion (New York, N.Y.), and freshman infielder Madison Hoyt (Dubois, Pa.).

Freshman Addyson Gregg (Carlisle, Pa.) started things off in the circle for New Kensington. Gregg lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs, all while striking out nine batters.

New Kensington collected 12 hits against Ancilla, with Encarnacion and Waldrop leading the team.

The Lions welcome Butler County Community College for their first home game of the season on Saturday, March 18th at 1pm.
