Men’s Soccer Lands Three USCAA All-Americans

Men's soccer players Austin Arnold, Jake Guerrini, and Brady Braun.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Three members of the Penn State New Kensington men's soccer team have been named United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Soccer Division II All-Americans as announced at the USCAA Virtual Awards Ceremony Thursday night. Jacob Guerrini (Lower Burrell, Pa./Burrell) was included on the first team and Brady Braun (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) on the second team, while Austin Arnold (Washington, Pa./Houston-Chartiers) was an honorable mention selection.

Guerrini was selected as a first team all-American after registering a program-best 21 goals this season to go along with seven assists for 49 total points. Guerrini currently ranks third amongst USCAA leaders in both goals and points. This first team selection comes on the heels of the freshman being named to the PSUAC All-Conference second team last week. Earlier in the season, Guerrini garnered USCAA Player of the Week and PSUAC Offensive Player of the week accolades. He is the first New Kensington player to earn first-team all-American status.

Braun is earning his second USCAA second team all-American award, having garnered the status during the 2019 season. This year, the senior captain has scored nine goals and added seven assists while playing a majority of his time at fullback. These all-American honors add to Braun's long list of accolades over his time at New Kensington. Recently, he was named the PSUAC Defensive Player of the Year and earned his second first team all-conference award, having been on the second team during his freshman season. Braun was also selected to the PSUAC All-Decade Team this summer, solidifying him as one of the best men's soccer players in the conference over the last ten years.

Arnold secured his honorable mention selection after ranking in the top ten in the USCAA in both goals and total points. His 14 goals rank him seventh-highest in Division II, while his 32 points put the freshman at eighth. Arnold was named to the PSUAC All-Conference second team last week. His top goal-scoring performance came against Villa Maria on Sept. 11, 2021 when he registered his first collegiate hat trick.

The trio joins Pascal Bikanura (2017), Carlos Colindres (2019), Andrew Perenic (2018), and Josh Zakrzewski (2019) on the list of New Kensington men's soccer USCAA All-Americans.
