Men’s soccer take non-conference matchup versus Carlow

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - The Penn State New Kensington Lions won their fifth straight match with a 3-1 victory against Carlow.

The Lions (8-3) started off strong when Austin Arnold (Washington, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) headed the ball into the back of the net off a cross from senior Brady Braun (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) in the fourth minute.

Arnold scored his second goal of the game in the 27th minute off a pass from Shane Stefanik (Brackenridge, Pa./Highlands).

Jordan Cooper (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) scored the insurance goal off a free kick 52nd minute.

Once again, AJ Collins (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) and Pablo Rea (Tustin, Calif. / Santa Ana) and split time in goal with Collins posting five saves and Rea tallying three.

New Kensington looks to stretch the win streak to six when they face Penn State Lehigh Valley at home on Saturday, Oct. 9th, at 1:00p.m.
