Guerrini Registers Hat Trick in Win Over WCCC

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. –  Jacob Guerrini (Lower Burrell, Pa. / Burrell) turned in his third hat trick of the season as the Penn State New Kensington men's soccer team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Westmoreland County Community College.

The Lions, now 6-3 overall, started off with the momentum after an early goal from freshman Austin Arnold (Washington, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) within the first two minutes of the game. Guerrini, who led the team in total shots on goal with five, also led the team in goals with three. Jordan Cooper (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) Jose Antonio Del Carmen Montenegro (Napa, Calif. / Justin Siena), Brady Braun (Harrison City, Pa. / Penn Trafford), and William Root (Columbus, Ohio / Canal Winchester) all contributed one goal each.

Both, Pablo Rea (Tustin, Calif. / Santa Ana) and AJ Collins (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) played a half in this matchup, with Rea facing one shot on goal and one save and Collins facing two shots on goal with two saves.

New Kensington looks to continue their hot streak when they face Carlow at home on Monday, Oct. 4th, at 4:00p.m.
