Men’s soccer takes conference matchup against Penn State Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. –  The Penn State New Kensington Lions win in another dominate fashion with an 8-0 win against Penn State Wilkes-Barres.

The Lions (5-3, 4-1 PSUAC) started this game with a lot of momentum after an early goal from Jose Antonio Del Carmen Montenegro (Napa, Calif. / Justin Siena), which was assisted by Jordan Cooper (Fairfax, Va. / Robinson). Jacob Guerrini (Lower Burrell, Pa. / Burrell) led the Lions with two goals in this matchup. Nate Marquez (Apple Valley, Calif. / Summit Leadership Academy), William Root (Columbus, Ohio / Canal Winchester), Zach Conte (Cheswick, Pa. / Springdale), and Vincent Gigliotti (Punxsutawney, Pa. / Punxsutawney) all contributed with one goal each. Austin Arnold (Washington, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) who also had one goal, led the team with 13 shots on goal.

Both, Pablo Rea (Tustin, Calif. / Santa Ana) and AJ Collins (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) played a half in this matchup, with both facing one shot on goal and one save.

New Kensington looks to continue their win streak when travel to Westmoreland County Community College on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 3:00p.m.
