Men's Basketball Edges Out Central Penn

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – On Saturday, New Kensington men's basketball won their second game of the season, defeating Central Penn College 79-74. With the win, the Lions advance to 2-1 on the season while Central Penn falls to 1-2.

New Kensington held the lead throughout the first half with Central Penn managing to take their first lead of the game five minutes into the second stanza. The game then remained close with the Lions taking the lead for good with less than five minutes remaining on a pair of made free throws from Joseph Dusabe (Ontario, Canada/Fox Chapel).

The Lions were led by Aubrey Feaster II (Buffalo, N.Y./William B. Travis) with 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. Dusabe picked up his first double-double of the season with ten points and a team-high twelve rebounds. Shyheim Flanagan (St. Martinville, La./Westside) added twelve points and six rebounds, while Ta'Rasi Means (Plum, Pa./Plum) put up eleven points.

The Lions will travel to Clarion University for an exhibition game on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7:00 p.m.
