Joret Chambers Posts Monster Game

New Kensington, PA- Joret Chambers had his best game of the season by scoring a season high 34 points, grabbing 10 boards, and blocking 4 shots. Despite Chambers great game, Penn State New Kensington fell short 98-91.

New Kensington got off to a cold start, finding themselves down 21-9 halfway through the first half. Chambers and Jordan Williams brought some life making a three pointer and a pair of foul shots to bring the team within 7. Alexander Smith made a jump shot to make the score 50-40 at halftime. Penn State New Kensington couldn't seem to get closer to lead until the seven minute mark, Williams made three field goals in a row, including two from long range making the score 81-78. This would be the closest Penn State New Kensington got to the lead until the final buzzer.

Williams chipped in 26 points to go along with Chambers 34. For Greater Allegheny Jeremy McMunn was the leading scorer with 23 points on 8-15 shooting.

Penn State New Kensington (7-12) will host Penn State Brandywine this Sunday with a 1:00 PM tip-off.
