Mont Alto Sweeps New Ken

In a challenging game for Penn State New Kensington, Penn State Mont Alto emerged victorious with a dominating score of 12-2. Despite a promising start, Penn State New Kensington struggled to contain the offensive onslaught from Mont Alto.

The first inning saw New Kensington take an early lead with Max Oliveri stealing second base and Braden Tristani capitalizing on an error, stealing third and scoring. Miguel Garcia then reached base on a fielding error, allowing Oliveri to score, putting New Kensington up 2-0.

However, Mont Alto quickly responded in the bottom of the first inning, with James Sibert's impressive three-run homer to left field, bringing in Kyle McKeon and Brady Bigler, giving Mont Alto a 3-2 lead. They further extended their lead when Jarrett Goodyear hit a two-run homer, scoring Wyatt Kissel, making it 5-2.

Mont Alto continued their offensive dominance in the fifth inning, adding seven more runs. Notable contributions came from Blake Orndorff, Jonathan Lentvorsky, and Gavin Kissel, each driving in runs. Bigler and Sibert also added to the run tally with doubles, bringing the score to 12-2.
