However, New Kensington quickly responded as Miguel Garcia's sacrifice fly brought Jared Busche home, narrowing the deficit to 2-1.

In the third inning, The Lion's offense erupted, sparked by Thomas Santiago Jr.'s RBI single, which tied the game at 2-2. A single by John Galeano Del Castillo and a crucial home run by Jared Busche propelled Penn State New Kensington to a commanding 7-3 lead.
