New Kensington Loses On Walk-Off Grand Slam

Myrtle Beach, SC - Penn State New Kensington began their Spring Training trip against Rochester Community and Technical College on Sunday. RCTC were down 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh when Luis Rodriguez hit a grand slam to win the game 8-5. 

Rochester got on the board in the fifth inning after a three run homer. New Ken chipped away at the lead in the sixth scoring two.  PSNK jumped into the lead in the top of the seventh when Max Oliveri (Pittsburgh, PA) singled, scoring one run, and Thomas Sontiago Jr. (Jersey City, NJ) doubled, scoring two runs. 

RCTC flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the seventh, scoring five runs on two hits to take the win. The walk off grand slam sealed the 8-5 final score.
