Mont Alto would open up the scoring with a 6 run second inning. K McKeon had a 2 RBI single, B. Bigler reached on an error and 2 runs scored. The Lions would tie the game in the third scoring 6 runs off of a Junior Braden Tristani 3 RBI triple, Sophomore Jake Wilson's RBI single, and Junior Jared Busche's 2 RBI single. Mont Alto would have another 6 run inning in the fifth inning, led by a pair of RBI singles from B. Zeger and C. Smith. New Kensington would try to cut the deficit with a sacrifice fly from Jared Busche. The Lions could not cut down the lead, losing to Mont Alto 13-7. 

Sophomore James Auberzinsky was the losing pitcher for New Kensington, allowing 5 earned runs on 4 hits and 7 walks. Junior Tim Morris, Freshman Karter Weitzel, and Senior Tallon Auth all came in relief of Auberzinsky.

Tyler Morgan was the winning pitcher for Mont Alto despite allowing 6 runs on 6 hits through 2.1 innings. In relief came Caleb Cawthern and Blain Wilson, carrying Mont Alto to the victory after only allowing 1 run combined

Jake Wilson, Jared Busche, and Braden Tristani all recorded extra base hits in the loss.
