New Kensington Takes Game Three Winning 5-3

Sophomore Jake Wilson started the scoring with a 2 RBI double early in the first. Junior Tim Morris would follow that up with an RBI double of his own. Mont Alto would chip away scoring three runs through the fourth and sixth off of a C. Smith single and a N. Smith sacrifice fly. However, that would not be enough as Tim Morris would record a save after throwing a 7th inning shutout. New Kensington defeated Mont Alto 5-3.

Sophomore Lucas Springer was the winning pitcher for the Lions, pitching 6 innings only allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits and 6 strikeouts. Junior Tim Morris would enter in the seventh inning, recording a save after allowing 0 runs.

Zach Garlin was the losing pitcher for Mont Alto after allowing 5 runs on 5 hits and 6 walks. Luke Davis would come in relief, throwing a scoreless sixth inning.

Lucas Springer improves to 4-0 in conference play after an impressive start.
