Mont Alto would take control of the game right out of the gate, scoring 7 runs in the first inning off of C. Smith double to right center, J. Goodyear singled to right field, M. Scott RBI single, and a G. Kissel RBI single. B. Orndorff would record an RBI on a sacrifice fly in the second inning. New Kensington would score their only run in the third inning off of an RBI single by Junior Max Oliveri. Mont Alto would later tally 3 more runs and defeat New Kensington 12-1.

Sophomore Eric Sonntag was the starting pitcher for the Lions, recording a loss while going two innings allowing 8 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks. Reise Matson would come in relief allowing 4 runs through two innings on 6 hits.

Elijah Snyder was the winning pitcher for Mont Alto after going four innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits and 6 strikeouts.

Max Oliveri would record the only RBI for New Kensington.
