New Kensington Gets Swept Away by Greater Allegheny

PSNK falls to PSGA 21-2 in game 2 loss

Greater Allegheny got things started early, scoring 4 runs in the first inning with a double from Dustin Strom. New Kensington couldn't find their footing, only scoring 1 run through 5 innings. 5th year Reise Matson (Kittanning, Pa.) homered in the 6th but the scoring would end there for the Lions. Greater Allegheny later scored 10 runs on 11 hits throughout the 6th and 7th innings, beating New Kensington 21-2.

Sophomore outfielder Jake Wilson (Fort Myers, Fla) was the starter for the lions. Wilson recorded a loss allowing 4 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks, with 2 strikeouts through 2 innings.

Sean Harasin recorded the win for Greater Allegheny, giving up 0 runs with one strike out through 4 innings.

Freshman outfielder Karter Weitzel (Butler, Pa.), Reise Matson, and senior 2nd baseman Tallon Auth (Pittsburgh, Pa.) all recorded hits in the loss.
