PSNK Improves but Fails to Capture First Win

New Kensington (0-2) went on the road Tuesday night to take on Penn State Greater Allegheny, who entered the contest with a 3-8 match record. PSNK was swept by Greater Allegheny as the scores were 25-17, 25-13, and 25-8. Greater Allegheny's serves were exceptional and hard to handle, as the team tallied 14 service aces. PSNK's main strength of the match was their hitting, as Hanna Perriello had nine kills to her credit, while Maria Daugherty had eight total kills. All in all, Penn State New Kensington's young and inexperienced team continues to grow in the right direction, one set at a time.

New Kensington travels to Penn State Fayette for an inter-conference match tomorrow night, with the game starting at 7:00 PM.
