New Kensington, PA - New Kensington hosted PSU York on Saturday for a Conference Showdown.
New Kensington fell behind early in the first half, and tried to claw their way back. York did not allow it, finishing the first half, 31-17.
New Kensington came out strong in the second half, scoring the first 5 points of the half. Then the Lion's went on a 18-0 run to take the lead, 40-33. York tried to battle back but it was not enough for the New Ken offense. New Kensington took the comeback win, 64-54.
Destiny Batiste (Thibadoux, La.) led the Lion's in points with 26 on the day. Esther Cole (Brooklyn, NY) had another double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Jayde Rivera (Dover, DE) had 12 points on the day as well. Jada Norman (New Kensington, PA) helped with 15 rebounds and 6 points.
