New Kensington started off slow, not scoring until three and half minutes into the game. The Lion's battled to get within 5 points of Mont Alto. Mont Alto held strong and kept the lead through the rest of the first half, 30-23.
New Kensington struck first in the second half with a layup by Jada Norman (New Kensington,PA). The Lions battled back to bring them within 2 points of Mont Alto. The Mont Alto offense took off and pulled off the win, 67-59.
Destiny Batiste (Thibadoux, La.) led the Lion's in points with 18 on the night. Esther Cole (Brooklyn, NY) had another double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jayde Rivera (Dover, DE) had 14 points on the night as well.
