In the matchup between Penn State New Kensington and Penn State Brandywine, both teams displayed their offensive capabilities. Brandywine took an early lead by scoring a run in the bottom of the second inning.
New Kensington responded in the top of the third inning, with a hit from freshman Piper Zufall, to tie the game with a run of their own. However, Brandywine swiftly regained control in the bottom of the third, erupting for an impressive six runs and establishing a commanding lead.
Despite New Kensington scoring another run in the top of the fifth inning thanks to a hit from sophomore Olivia Waldrop, Brandywine maintained their offensive momentum, adding two more runs in the bottom of the fifth.
With Brandywine's strong performance both at the plate and on the mound, the game ended with a final score of 9-2 in favor of Brandywine.
