Clermont, FL – New Kensington fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 14-2 loss to Spring Arbor on Friday.
The Lions struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Spring Arbor, giving up 14 runs.
Spring Arbor got on the board in the second inning when an error scored one run for Spring Arbor.
Spring Arbor scored six runs in the seventh inning.
Addyson Gregg led things off in the circle for the Lions. She surrendered six runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking zero. Madison Hoyt and Olivia Waldrop entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
Kali Barnett, Addyson Gregg, Molly Collins, Kiera Mack, Sophie Brandon, and Zoe King each collected one hit to lead New Kensington.
