NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – Adding to their winning streak, Penn State New Kensington men's soccer defeated Penn State Scranton, 3-1. The men are 3-1 in conference play and 4-4 overall.
At minute eight, Brady Braun (Harrison City, Pa./ Penn Trafford) scored New Kensington's first goal, unassisted. Carlos Colindres (Schuylkill Haven, Pa. / Blue Mountain) stepped up next and scored two minutes later, boosting the Lions to a score of 2-0. Scranton then got themselves on the board, but it didn't affect New Kensington's lead. Up 2-1 in the bottom of the first period, New Kensington was on their way to another win.
Once again, Colindres sunk a goal, and led New Kensington to their 3-1 victory.
New Kensington will take the long trip to Penn State Mont Alto for their next game on Tues. October 1. They will hit the field at 2 p.m.
