Pascal Bikanura Garners USCAA All-American Honorable Mention Award

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - Penn State New Kensington senior forward Pascal Bikanura (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brashear) collected United States Collegiate Athletics Association all-America Honorable Mention honors as announced at the USCAA awards banquet last week in Virginia Beach, Va. Bikanura is the first Penn State New Kensington men's soccer player to receive USCAA all-America recognition in school history.

Bikanura, a Penn State University Athletic Conference first-team selection, had an outstanding year for New Kensington. He finished the season ranked third in the USCAA in goals per game and fourth in points per game. The co-captain helped the Lions to a 7-5-1 record, their best finish since 2014-15. Bikanura tallied two hat-tricks on the season with his first coming on Sept. 16 against Penn State Worthington Scranton. His second came against Penn State Beaver on Oct. 18 in a pivotal PSUAC match-up.

Bikanura finished his four-year career at New Kensington with 40 goals and 16 assists, averaging just over a goal per game. He has been named a PSUAC Player of the week twice in his career, and during the 2014 season, he earned PSUAC second-team honors.
