Bikanura, Stanga Receive All-PSUAC Men's Soccer Honors

New Kensington, Pa. - Penn State New Kensington senior forward Pascal Bikanura (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brashear) and sophomore defender Ryan Stanga (West Deer, Pa./Deer Lakes) earned Penn State University Athletics Conference year-end awards, the conference announced today. Bikanura was honored on the PSUAC All-Conference 1st Team, while Stanga was included on the 2nd Team.

Bikanura had an exceptional year for the New Kensington offense, contributing fifteen goals and four assists for a total of 32 points. The captain recorded two hat-tricks on the season against Penn State Worthington on Sept. 16 and Penn State Beaver on Oct. 18.

He also contributed two goals on the season, both game-winners, against Penn State Schuylkill on Oct. 7 and against Penn State York in the PSUAC quarterfinals on Oct. 25.

The Lions, coached by Pat Cavanaugh, finished the season with a record of 7-5-1 and advanced to the PSUAC semifinals for the second year in a row.
