Penn State Greater Allegheny Defeats Men's Soccer

New Kensington, Pa. - The Penn State New Kensington men's soccer team lost a Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference contest to Penn State Greater Allegheny this afternoon on the campus of PSNK. New Kensington falls to 3-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in PSUAC play. Greater Allegheny is now 5-1, 3-0. 

The two teams battled for seventy-one scoreless minutes with both goalkeepers recording spectacular saves. In the 72nd minute, Greater Allegheny broke the tie when Jake Theiret sliced a shot from the left side of the net into the lower right corner. Then, in the 76th minute, Marin Marina found the goal off a long pass from Colin Bucsok to put Greater Allegheny up 2-0. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Joshua Zakrzewski made 10 saves for New Kensington. Bucsok recorded 5 saves for Greater Allegheny. 

The Lions' next game is Saturday, September 30 against Bethany College.  Kick off is set for 1:00 p.m.
