Men's Soccer Offense Rolls Against Worthington Scranton

The Penn State New Kensington men's soccer team had a strong offensive showing against Penn State Worthington Scranton, besting its opponent 9-2. 

The game was scoreless until the 26th minute, when senior Pascal Bikanura found the net for his fourth goal of the season. Freshman Gabe Gaertner tallied the assist. Bikanura followed up with another goal just three minutes later, assisted by Dylan Hamilton.

Sophomore Alex Ferraccio was up next, scoring two goals within two minutes. His first was assisted by Bikanura while he took in the second by himself. Bikanura completed the hat-trick with a header off of a long pass from Joshua Zakrzewski in the 39th minute, with New Kensington taking a 5-0 lead into half-time.

Worthington Scranton was on the board first in the second half as Michael Foder scored from a pass from Christian Toussaint. Freshman Andrew Perenic answered back within a minute, scoring off a pass from freshman Jorge Oliver. Ferraccio then finished his own hat-trick with a shot off a helper from Oliver. The Lions were not done as Oliver and Gaertner also found the back of the net. Sophomore Paul Kozuch assisted Gaertner.  Worthington Scranton finished the scoring with James Cole connecting on a penalty kick.

Penn State New Kensington improves to 2-0-1 (1-0-1 PSUAC) and will take their home field again Sunday as they face Penn State Wilkes-Barre at 12:00 p.m.
