Steubenville, OH - New Kensington traveled to Franciscan University on Tuesday Night for a Non Conference Matchup.
New Kensington started off slow and quickly fell behind. Franciscan had a double digit lead for a majority of the first half. The Lions did not give and chipped away at the lead to make it a 3 point game at the end of the first half, 43 - 40.
New Kensington came out strong in the second half. The Lions battled and tied the game up in the first 5 minutes of the half. New Kensington battled the rest of the game but it was not enough, losing the game 90 - 85.
Jaden Benson (Chicago, IL) had a double-double on the Night with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Tarasi Means (Plum, PA) led the team in scoring with 24 points. Shyheim Flanagan (Breaux Bridge, LA) had a big night with 22 points, and Aubrey Feaster II (Buffalo, NY) had 10 points.
