MONACA, Pa. – The Penn State New Kensington men's basketball team played their last away game tonight against Penn State Beaver. New Kensington trailed behind 90-56 and is 7-16 overall and 3-14 in the conference.

Brent Ivory (Pittsburgh, Pa./ Seton LaSalle) and Thomas Gilmore (Sharon, Pa./ Grit Sports Academy) were the high scorers for New Kensington in the first half. Ivory put up eight points for the Lions, which started with a layup made within seconds of the game beginning. Gilmore also began his scoring with a layup and added up seven points. Jakob Richardson (Pittsburgh, Pa./ Seton LaSalle) led in rebounds, three, and made six points. Beaver made a big statement in the first half, leading 56-26, and New Kensington was left to respond.

Richardson hit double digits in the second half, 15, which boosted New Kensington's score. Gilmore was consistent in scoring, landing himself another seven points. He had five rebounds as well. Lamar Lewis was another scorer during the half and put up four points, two of which were free throws and a jump shot. Beaver widened the gap too much and New Kensington was unable to close it.

Dropping 21 points, Richardson led the Lions. He also had four rebounds. Gilmore added 14 points and had the most rebounds, five, along with five steals. Ivory put in ten points and had two rebounds.

Penn State New Kensington will be playing at home on Saturday, Feb. 16 against Penn State Brandywine. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
