Broadwater Drops Career-High 40 Points in Loss to Greater Allegheny

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - Dorian Broadwater (Homestead, Pa./Steel Valley) continued his standout senior season by putting up 40 points in Friday night's 107-93 loss to Penn State Greater Allegheny. New Kensington falls to 4-13 on the year and 2-10 in the PSUAC. Greater Allegheny earned the season sweep and moves to 13-6 and 8-3 in the PSUAC.

New Kensington held its only lead of the game after six straight points from Broadwater put the Lions up 13-12 with 14:50 on the clock. Greater Allegheny led the rest of the way, but New Kensington kept it close behind Broadwater's 25 first-half points. Greater Allegheny led 55-50 at halftime.

The visitors came out hot in the second half, going on a 26-6 run that extended their lead to 81-56. New Kensington then went on its own 24-13 run to put the game back within reach. That would be as close as it would get as Greater Allegheny held on for the 107-93 victory.

Broadwater led all players with his 40 points while also adding nine rebounds. Antonio Hill (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin) registered his fourth double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Juwan Willis (Swissvale, Pa./Woodland Hills) added 18 points and a team-high six assists.

New Kensington travels to Penn State DuBois Saturday, Feb. 3, for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.
