Men's Basketball Defeated by Penn Highlands

McKeesport, Pa. - The Penn State New Kensington men's basketball team was defeated 82-77, by Penn Highlands Community College Friday at the Penn State Greater Allegheny Tip-Off Tournament. The Lions are now 1-3 on the season, while Penn Highlands opens up at 1-0. 

The two teams battled throughout the game with the lead changing hands several times. With less than two minutes left in the game, the Lions found themselves up 75-74, but they could not hold on as Penn Highlands scored eight of the last ten points. 

Senior Dorian Broadwater (Homestead, Pa./Steel Valley) lead New Kensington with 23 points and nine rebounds. Sophomores Juwan Willis (Swissvale, Pa./Woodland Hills) and Javon Turner (Beaver Falls, Pa./Beaver Falls) contributed 20 points and 15 points, respectively. Junior Antonio Hill (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin) recorded a double-double with a team-high eleven rebounds to go with 10 points. 

New Kensington finishes up at the PSUGA Tip-Off with CCAC-Boyce Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
