Penn State New Kensington Outlasts Penn State Hazleton 61-59

New Kensington, PA-  Coach McCray's basketball squad ended their losing streak by defeating Penn State Hazleton 61-59. Saturday's game marked the first time Penn State New Kensington was on it's home court since the start of the season when they knocked off CCAC Boyce 84-62.

The game started as a back in forth battle each exchanging blows until Joret Chambers lead Penn State New Kensington on an 8 point run by knocking down a pair of free throws, and a 12 foot jumper. No team lead by more than 12 points through the entire contest. Penn State New Kensington looked to wrap things up in the finals minutes until Penn State Hazletons Jordan Singletary scored three of his game high 22 points by scoring a basketballl, and getting fouled to seal the three point play. Lou Payne locked up the win by knocking down 1 of 2 free throws.

Penn State New Kensington had two players in double figures with Antonio Hill scoring 17 points, and bringing down 7 rebounds. Jordan Williams chipped in 14 points.

PSNK (3-9) will looking to keep it's winning streak alive when they travel to Penn State Wilkes-Barre Friday for a 7:30 PM tip-off.
