Jordan Williams Leads Penn State New Kensington to First Victory of the Season

New Kensington, PA - Junior guard Jordan Williams started the season hot converting 11-19 of his field goals, in the route of CCAC Boyce by the score of 84-62. Williams netted 23 of his 30 points in the first half. Teammates Dorian Broadwater and Antonio Hill chipped in double-doubles, with Broadwater tallying 14 points and 10 rebounds, along with Hill's 13 points and a game high 15 rebounds. James Martin was the leading scorer for CCAC Boyce with 22 points and 4 rebounds.

The two teams battled back and forth until the 6:51 mark in the first half, when Williams made a 3-pointer to put the score at 29-27 in favor of PSNK. That would be the closest CCAC Boyce would get to the lead for the rest of the game. Broadwater lead Penn State New Kensington in the 2nd half netting 12 of his 14 points.

Penn State New Kensington shot 43.8 % from the field converting 32 of 73 shots, while CCAC Boyce only converted 23 of 71 shots for a 32.4 % shooting average. In addition, the Penn State New Kensington bench outscored CCAC Boyce by 12 points.

Penn State New Kensington (1-0) will travel to Penn State Mont Alto this weekend to compete in the John Benchoff Tournament. The team will compete against Davis College with a 6:00 PM tip off.
