PSNK loses to Fayette, eliminating them from playoff contention.

The Penn State New Kensington Men's Basketball Team, (7-13, 6-9) loses a must win game against the visiting team from Penn State Fayette (11-12, 10-5). PSNK dug themselves an early hole, in which they would not be able to recover from. PSNK had numerous unforced turnovers in the early going, and that helped Fayette jump out to a commanding lead. Fayette converted on 9 of their 19 attempted 3-pointers in the first half, and held a 45-30 lead going to halftime. The second half was a game of runs. Fayette would play a couple solid minutes, and then PSNK would answer, although seemingly never gaining much on the deficit.  PSNK tried to claw their way back into it in the waning minutes of the game but Fayette would come right back. The final score was 80-70, For PSNK, Matthew Sutton was the game high scorer with 23, he also grabbed 11 rebounds; Gian Karlo Molina added 20 points. Matt McKenna led the way for Fayette scoring 19 points, followed by Derek Jones who had 16.

PSNK will look to rebound on Friday the 14th, when they host Penn State Brandywine (5-15, 4-8). The game time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
