APOLLO, Pa. - Derek Petrishen (Natrona Heights, Pa./St. Joseph) led all golfers at Penn State New Kensington's Bernie Gus Classic on Tuesday. His 79 helped New Kensington finish second out of five teams. 

Petrishen was followed by freshman Alex Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) whose 82 was good for a tie for fourth place. Collin McCune (Lower Burrell, Pa./Gateway) was next for the Lions tying for eight with an 86. Freshman Mason Sullivan (Butler, Pa./Butler) wrapped up the team scoring for New Kensington with a 107. 

New Kensington returns to University Park on Monday, Sept. 23, this time to play on Penn State's White Course. They will look to shave a few strokes off their scores in preparation for next months PSUAC and USCAA Championships. Start time is 10:00 a.m.
