Russellton, PA - Greater Allegheny starts the scoring off with a double in the second inning by B. Woods. New Kensington would later take the lead in the third inning off of a pair of RBI singles from Freshman Karter Weitzel (Butler, PA) and Junior Max Oliveri (Penn Hills, PA). New Kensington added to their total off of a 2-run homerun from Max Oliveri in the fifth. However Greater Allegheny would answer in the sixth inning, putting up 6 unanswered runs and defeating New Kensington 7-5.
Sophomore Nick Osborne (Hermitage, PA) took the hill for New Kensington, recording a loss after surrendering 7 runs on 11 hits and 6 strikeouts through 5.1 innings.
Randy Limon was the winning pitcher for Greater Allegheny. Limon threw all 7 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits while striking out 7.
Junior Braden Tristani (Sarver, PA), Karter Weitzel, and Max Oliveri led the offense by all producing RBIs.
