New Kensington Struggles to Score Against Grove City College

KISSIMMEE, Fl. – Penn State New Kensington's baseball team struggled to score against Grove City College, 10-0. The Lions are now 1-3 overall.

Grove City began scoring in the bottom of the second, after New Kensington faced three consecutive outs. At the bottom of the third, Grove City scored three more and put the score at 4-0.

In the top of the fifth, New Kensington got their first player on base, Sebastien Nelson (Ardmore, Okla./ Ardmore), who was walked. The score remained 4-0 moving into the sixth inning.

Grove City had one run in both the sixth and seventh inning, leading 6-0.

In the last inning, Grove City ended the game with four runs.

Justin Lindeman (Murrysville, Pa./ Franklin Regional) pitched for six innings, allowing nine hits and five runs.

New Kensington will face Albion at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex on Friday, March 8 at 9:15 a.m.
