Stackiewicz Garners PSUAC Recognition

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - Sophomore Jake Stackiewicz was recognized by the Penn State University Athletic Conference with all-conference honorable mention honors the league announce yesterday. The outfielder and pitcher led Penn State New Kensington in virtually every offensive category. 

Stackiewicz led the PSUAC with a .803 slugging percentage and finished fourth in batting average, hitting .459 for the year. He also ranked second in the league in triples and sixth in doubles, striking extra base hits in eleven out of 18 games played. Stackiewicz is ranked third in slugging percentage and sixth in batting average nationally among United States Collegiate Athletic Association participants.

On the mound, Stackiewicz led New Kensington in total strikeouts and strikeouts per nine innings. 

Stackiewicz has helped New Kensington set the foundation for its baseball program which was re-established for the spring 2017 season.
