New Kensington Student-Athletes Recognized for Classroom Achievements

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – Penn State New Kensington placed 18 winter and spring student-athletes on the Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for spring 2019. This list brings the total number of student-athletes earning the honor this year to 44, up thirteen percent from 2017-18. 

To earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have earned at least a 3.0 grade point average in the semester of competition or have maintained a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

The list is highlighted by seniors Alyssa Slancuaskas (Lower Burrell, Pa./Cheswick Christian) and Brittney Wolford (Lower Burrell, Pa./Burrell), who are receiving the award for the fourth time in her softball careers.
