New Kensington falls to Beaver in PSUAC volleyball action

MONACA, Pa. - Penn State New Kensington fell at the hands of Penn State Beaver Tuesday night, 3-0. With the loss, New Kensington drops to 7-12 and 0-9 in the PSUAC while Beaver improves to 15-10 and 5-4 in the PSUAC.

Sophomore Kaylea Flick (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) once again led the way for the Lion's offense, recording a match-high 14 kills on the night. Junior setter Lindsey Hessom (Leechburgh, Pa./Kiski Area) produced 15 assists, while senior Cora Rejniak (Gibsonia, Pa./Deer Lakes) posted eight assists. Freshman libero Erin Tumas recorded a team-high nine digs.

New Kensington travels to Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday, Oct. 20 for its last game of the season. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
