Women’s Basketball Plays Last Game of the Season

MONACA, Pa. – Led by freshman Hannah Berry (Leechburg, Pa./ Leechburg), Penn State New Kensington's women's basketball team faced off with Penn State Beaver in their last game of the season. New Kensington fell to Beaver 95-27.

Erika Finn (New Kensington, Pa./ Burrell) put up the only points for the Lions in the first quarter, two, and had four rebounds. New Kensington was far behind Beaver at the end of the quarter, 32-2. The Lions added up more points in the second quarter, once again with Finn tallying up the most, four. In addition, Berry sunk two free throws which accounted for her two points. Beaver kept their lead when halftime came, 55-8.

Berry kept hitting her free throws in the third quarter, three, and made a jump shot to add up five total points. Berry and Becca Wilhelm (Leechburg, Pa./ Leechburg) both grabbed two rebounds, and Wilhelm made two points. The third quarter came to a close with New Kensington down 78-17. In the last quarter, Berry produced six points. Finn made two and Adda McCormick (Sarver, Pa./ Freeport) did the same.

Berry totaled up 13 points for the Lions' last game. Finn contributed ten and led in rebounds, nine.
