Stuckley, Zmenkowski Honored for Sportsmanship

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - Two Penn State New Kensington student-athletes have been honored with the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award by the Penn State University Athletic Conference as announced yesterday. Joshua Stuckley (Natrona Heights, Pa./Highlands) and Calle Zmenkowski (Cheswick, Pa./Fox Chapel) each won the award for their respective teams.

The John Fritz Sportsmanship Award is given to one student-athlete on each sports team that best displays good sportsmanship and demonstrates ethical, appropriate, polite and fair behavior while participating in athletic events and as a member of their team.  The honorees exemplify the Penn State University Values of integrity, responsibility, excellence, respect, discovery and community.

Stuckley is a freshman pitcher and outfielder for the baseball team. Stuckley is a tremendous teammate and gives his all for the baseball program. He made an immediate positive impact, always treating teammates, coaches, and opponents with the utmost respect. 

A sophomore pitcher and shortstop on the softball team, Zmenkowski is consistently in a postive mood and has a good head on her shoulders. She maintains a good rapport with her teammates anad coaches and represents Penn State New Kensington at the highest level.
