Soccer Comes Out on Top Against Mont Alto

MONT ALTO, Pa. – Penn State New Kensington and Penn State Mont Alto men's soccer faced off in a key PSUAC game that ended in a 1-0 New Kensington victory. They are now 4-1 in the conference and 5-4 overall.

In the ninth minute, Brady Braun (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) scored the game's lone goal off a pass from freshman Carlos Colindres (Schuykill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain). It was Braun's eight goal of the season. New Kensington's defense kept Mont Alto at bay as the Lions held on for the 1-0 victory.

In his third shutout of the season, Joshua Zakrzewski (Finleyville, Pa./Ringgold) totaled up six saves for New Kensington.

New Kensington will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5, as they play at Penn State York. The game is to begin at 2:00 p.m.
