New Kensington Soccer Comes Home with Two Road Trip Wins

LEHMAN, Pa. – Now 2-1 in the conference, Penn State New Kensington men's soccer won 4-1 against Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

Up until minute 23, the game was stuck at zero. After an unassisted goal on behalf of Wilkes-Barre, the score read 0-1. Alonso Sanchez (Wexford, Pa./ North Allegheny) didn't let that score remain for long, and tied the game up for New Kensington. The Lions scored two more times within the first period, both by Brady Braun (Harrison City, Pa./ Penn Trafford). By halftime, the score was 3-1, New Kensington.

During the second period, Carlos Colindres (Schuylkill Haven, Pa. / Blue Mountain) scored the final goal for New Kensington at minute 50.

New Kensington will host Penn State Scranton this Saturday at 1 p.m.
