Men’s Soccer Falls to Pitt-Johnstown

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – Penn State New Kensington's men's soccer team faced off with Pitt-Johnstown in a nonconference game Thursday afternoon. Pitt headed home with a win, 4-0. New Kensington is now 0-2 overall in play.

Pitt-Johnstown scored the first goal in just the 2nd minute of play, and then when on to score three more in the second half. The Mountain Cats controlled most of the game, outshooting the Lions 27-4. 

Joshua Zakrzewski (Finleyville, Pa./ Ringgold) captured eight saves in goal for New Kensington.

New Kensington soccer will have their third home game on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 12:00 p.m. against 2018 UCSCAA national runner-up Johnson & Wales (NC).
